Commitment to Quality Medical Transcription
Qual·i·ty Many have argued that quality cannot be defined, that its uses are too subjective. EHRscribe does not ascribe to this philosophy. At EHRscribe, we believe that “quality” is the specific degree to which our product not only meets, but exceeds our customers’ expectations. At EHRscribe, quality is one of our fundamental tenets. It drives everything we do. Our commitment to quality transcends the delivered transcript. It is a mode of operation, a state of being. It occurs on the front end, it occurs on the back end – and on every process in between: Our Medical Transcription StaffOur medical transcriptionists, on average, have over 7 years experience in medical transcription. Our training programs are rigorous, and demand complete dedication on the part of the transcriptionist. Project managers integrate on the job staff training with daily audits of all client work, and provide consistent feedback to the transcriptionists. Our project managers, quality assurance and quality control staff are all seasoned veterans possessing an average of 20 years in the medical transcription industry, and can be relied upon to deliver the highest quality work. |
Our Medical Transcription Processes
- Dictation: EHRscribe can receive dictation in a variety of formats – handheld digital recorders, telephony, or dictation stations. The important thing is that facilities need not change their dictation methodology to work with EHRscribe. However, facilities looking for a new or better solution can rely on EHRscribe to supply industry-leading technology to ease the transition.
- Typing & Editing: Once dictation is received, it is either typed or speech recognized according to client specifications, and then edited by our first line production group.
- Quality Assurance (Prospective Review): All work receives at least two levels of quality assurance prior to delivery to the client. EHRscribe performs QA using 100% listening to optimize learning. Our software incorporates an integrated QA module with real-time scoring of production reports. Work that requires a high degree of quality assurance as a result of less than optimal dictation conditions, lack of patient or physician demographics, or inaudible or unintelligible dictation, goes through an additional level quality assurance prior to delivery to the client.
- Quality Control (Retrospective Review): In order to maintain our high level of quality, EHRscribe performs retrospective audits of 5% of all work produced, and provides feedback to the medical transcriptionists and editors if quality scores drop below 98%. Consistent scores below 98% warrant the removal of a medical transcriptionist from the workforce.
